FMCG: Purchase Order Fulfilment

Overview

man using pallet truck We have developed a series of algorithms to accurately predict anticipated stock usage of every individual product line or product group. We use a wide variety of known variables to make this process as exact as possible: current stock levels, purchase orders, previous usage in the same period, planned or previous promotional activities that influence demand, sales trends (YTD, MAT, Quarterly or manual input trends), expected delivery lead times and minimum safety levels.

This knowledge will permit you to have enough stock in the warehouse to meet demand, without expensive overstocking.

With stock volumes now under control you can switch focus to closely manage purchase prices, ensuring that every aspect of contract pricing including spot pricing, discounts, rebates and offers are all visible during the reorder process. Operators can therefore make more informed choices when sourcing products and they can check that the benefits from these orders actually materialise. The software automatically calculates and stores every discount allowing you to easily police financial aspects of trading with your suppliers.

Purchase Invoices are matched to the receipts of goods and the system will automatically compare and highlight variances between actual and anticipated figures for pricing, exchange rates plus freight and insurance costs.

The Purchase Order Module can also be fully integrated with Stocks and Nominal Ledgers, providing watertight controls over physical volumes and financial aspects of purchasing.
