Wellington have successfully completed the first phase of one of Ireland’s biggest warehousing projects of 2011/12. Working in partnership with Heavey RF this was the first installation of a 9 warehouse rollout of real time voice response for Gleeson.
One of the main advantages of voice WMS is that it frees up the hands of the operator, enabling them to work faster and more efficiently leading to increased productivity, reduced errors and less time spent managing returns. One operator even commented that one personal advantage of using voice response technology from the previously used paper based system was that he was now able to wear gloves, particularly important at this time of the year.
The new year will see further installations of the technology into the remaining 8 warehouses.
